Vounteer Work

My second year of college at Binghamton University, Spring 2011 I decided to join the co-ed community service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega (APO). Joining APO was one of the best decisions I made in college. The core of APO is leadership, friendship and service; in my first year and half of college I experienced none of that. I took classes, went to clubs sparingly and didn't really do much to better myself. In APO I had a leadership role almost every semester, I made countless friends from around the world and did over 150 hours of community service on campus and the Binghamton, NY community.

What I learned from my time in APO was invaluable, helping others, be it animals, kids, the elderly or the environment, it's all important and I try to take that with me as a post-grad.

Nowadays I don't get to do as much as I did in college, but I'm always looking to more ways to volunteer by helping start an official Alumni Association for APO in the NYC area. More recently I volunteered to do social media for "Dance Parade NYC 2014", combining my career aspirations for an organization in need of extra promotion hands.
